Thomas Lee Cornelius Smith of Bristow was arrested on Friday, Jan. 26 at about 8:15 p.m. for aggravated malicious wounding, Prince William police said.
Smith was described as an acquaintance of the victim, and was involved in an ongoing dispute.
Officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Hooe Rd. in Bristow to investigate an assault.
During the encounter, the accused brandished a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times, police said.
The victim was treated at an area hospital for serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
